Anna,

You gotta change your comment status in order to stop these dratted spammers. I changed mine to only allow those who enter those little letters...it was easy.

Also, to answer your question: Marty is CLEARLY superior to JD in actual talent and I think that is why he wasn't chosen. But that is good: His band will now get the huge break they need to do their own thing and not just sing INXS' music (however lovey it is) and can make his own music. In ten years no one will remember JD whathisname, but Marty Casey will likely be a real Rock Star!

I dunno, you guys. I mean, I only watched one episode and all, but...

How do I say this nicely? Doesn't having the name 'Marty' preclude you from being a rock star or any other cool profession? Sure, having a Marty for an accountant or used car salesman. But Marty? To replace (slurp) Michael Hutchence? I thought J.D. was a total boner, but Marty, aside from being a Marty, resembled Michael Bolton just a leeetle too much for me...

I know, not a popular sentiment due to his talent and all...

Can I get a witness?

Anyone?

Marty is way too talented to sing somebody else's songs...even though he was my favorite to win, and is a great frontman...his band The Lovehammers, will be and up and coming phenomenon. JD is great to take over for INXS, he sounds closer to Hutchence (although it's still a little difficult for me to even think about replacing Michael Hutchence) He was one of a kind....JD mimics him pretty well and I think that's what INXS needs right now. Perhaps a little closure and a transition from what was to the future. I don't think they'll have JD forever...just until they realize maybe he's not that creative ...but Marty will be one to watch

now that I've had time to process my initial dissapointment regarding seeing Marty "lose", I'm reminded of my reaction to seeing Bo Bice lose to... what was her name? um. uh. OH yeah, Carrie Underwood. While I thought Bo was the superior performer, I'm glad in a way, that he didn't win. He won't be "stuck" doing such commercial drivel, and can rock out like I am looking forward to.

Same situation here, Marty is just more unique and I'm looking forward to seeing where this publicity takes him and the Lovehammers...

Has anyone actually heard the Lovehammers? I may have to look them up online and see if I can get an earful....
